Fuengirola
& Marbella
These busy bustling towns have many
beautiful shops and stores, enjoy a morning coffee in one of the
many street cafe's or wander around Orange Square in Marbella
inhaling the sheer delights of orange trees and an abundance of
sweet smelling flowers and shrubs. For evening entertainment there
is a wide variety of bars and restaurants providing many different
cuisine's, while for the young at heart the night life and disco's
abound. Whether participating in local sports, exploration, or
just simply promoting a deep Mediterranean tan, both these resorts
offer the holiday of a lifetime.
For many visitors the world revolves
around the Costa Del Sol's marvellous beaches, bars, and bright
lights, however taking to the hills and beyond brings pleasures
of their own, so we have listed a few places worth exploring during
your stay.
Mijas
This village is a ten minute drive
from Fuengirola. Explore the little side streets full of flowers,
see the balcony of the Moorish Kings and Spain's only square bullring,
and a Mijas donkey taxi is not to be forgotten.
Ronda
A superb drive along a mountain road,
affording spectacular views will bring you to this historical
town 2,250 ft. above sea level. Here is the oldest bullring in
Spain and still in use.
Puerto Banus
This is a must for every visitor.
The harbour with it's fantastic yachts surrounded by superb boutiques,
restaurants and cafe bars make this a fantastic sight.
Estepona
This lovely little typically Spanish
town is about 20 minutes drive from Marbella, there are shops,
and an open air market two days a week.
Gibraltar
A visit to the rock is a must, take
the cable car and see the Barbary Apes, who live on the rock or
the spectacular St. Michaels caves. A piece of Britain with sunshine.
